Four Years of Building
Four Years of Building
When people think about the live events industry, they usually think about the final product.
The perfectly lit stage.
The crystal-clear audio.
The LED walls.
The standing ovation.
The room full of people experiencing something they'll remember.
What they don't see are the months of planning, the warehouse prep, the truck loads, the rehearsals, the problem-solving, the relationships, and the people working behind the scenes to make those moments possible.
This July marks four years since Bay Stage Live entered a new chapter under women-owned leadership.
Truthfully, we missed the actual anniversary.
But maybe that's fitting.
Because the last four years haven't been about stopping to celebrate milestones, they've been about showing up every day and continuing to build something we're proud of.
When we stepped into this role four years ago, we weren't just taking over a company. We were taking on a responsibility.
A responsibility to honor a legacy that began in 1957 while continuing to move it forward.
A responsibility to our employees, our clients, our partners, and the community that has trusted Bay Stage Live for decades.
And while there have certainly been challenges along the way, there have also been moments we'll never forget.
We've welcomed AVSS into the Bay Stage Live family, expanding not only our capabilities but the relationships we're able to build.
We've grown our team with incredibly talented people who continue to push us to be better every day. Every new employee, every work anniversary, and every person who has chosen to build their career here has become part of the story we're writing together.
We've had the privilege of partnering with organizations, venues, planners, nonprofits, businesses, and communities across Tampa Bay to help bring thousands of events to life.
We've celebrated alongside our clients during some of the biggest moments of their organizations—and we've stood beside them through the stressful ones, too.
Because that's what this industry is really about.
It's not just equipment.
It's not just production.
It's people.
One of my favorite things about Bay Stage Live is that every event is different.
One day we're supporting a nonprofit raising millions for a cause they believe in. The next we're helping a company celebrate its employees, producing a conference that inspires hundreds of attendees, or creating an unforgettable gala experience.
Every show teaches us something.
Every client challenges us to think differently.
Every partnership reminds us why relationships matter more than transactions.
Over the last four years, we've learned that growth isn't always measured by the number of events you produce.
Sometimes growth looks like earning someone's trust.
Sometimes it looks like hiring great people and giving them room to succeed.
Sometimes it looks like investing in another company because you believe you'll be stronger together.
Sometimes it looks like quietly getting a little better every single day.
As we celebrate four years of this chapter, our gratitude goes far beyond our leadership team.
To our employees, freelancers, warehouse crew, technicians, account managers, clients, venues, planners, nonprofit partners, vendors, and everyone who has believed in Bay Stage Live...
Thank you.
You are the reason we get to do what we love.
We're incredibly proud of what we've built over the last four years, but what excites us most is knowing we're still building.
Here's to the next chapter, the next challenge, the next event, and the next opportunity to create experiences that bring people together.
The best productions are never built by one person.
They're built by a team.
And we couldn't ask for a better one.
